There are things that I've wished to do,
But I've never really tried to.
Something has always held me back,
Or I feel the skill I lack.

Fame and fortune within reach,
But me? I'm at the beach.
On days of opportunity's knock,
I break the key inside the lock.
Or could it be I just pass it by,
Or before I show, it takes wing and flies?

My life's goal is never to regret,
A turn taken or to be in debt,
To something missed I shouldn't of.

Still there is only so much time,
To feel life's sparkle or life's grime.
But before I go, adventure I'll taste,
To fulfill little dreams, no time to waste.
To dance with unicorns, to slay dragons,
Or maybe travel with Bilbo Baggins.
